Dress Wars

So this is a pretty special weekend for me and the rest of my family... its a wedding/birthday extravaganza!
The big 3-0 is on Saturday and I'm excited but really not phased at all.
I've had many firends turn 30 and they consider it a huge point in there life and I really don't feel that way- maybe Saturday I'll feel differently?!
I was soooo lucky that I didn't have to make plans for my birthday because that is always so stressful- what to do, where to go, who to invite (think this weeks episode of Bethanny Ever After)?!?! I'm really not down with putting all that effort into my birthday.
When I got the invitation to my cousins wedding that also falls on Saturday- that made the planning SO much easier.
I know where I'm going, when I have to be there, and I don't need to invite anyone because my whole family will be there already!!!
So my big decision was WHAT TO WEAR?!
It came down to the battle of two dresses. They could not be more opposite of each other.
One is a short little blue number that says party city. Its fun, flirty, and reminds me of spring.
The other is a long black gown with a white band across the waist and it says classy, formal, and plain old princess.
I got opinions of some good friends and their opinions were split down the middle.
So I waited to purchase the dress and left it up to my hubby who called this morning telling me that he prefers one over the other. Enough said! I'm going with the hubbys pick.
