The Big Easy

I just flew back from New Orleans and couldn't wait to post to you how much I LOOOOVED it!!!!
The city is amazing and all the people are sooo nice!
Top things I love about NOLA:
1.I love the weather we had, 80 degrees and sunny everyday!
2.The people were so nice and I think they just enjoy that they have visitors after Katrina
3.Jazz music and the random musicians on street corners that enjoy you taking pictures with them
4.Legal Drinking on the street-enough said! best law ever!
5.Hurricane's at Pat O'Briens and the Cats Meow (obvi a yummy drink at two very fun bars with great atmosphere's)
6. The buildings with double balconies-very southern
7. Beads!!!! Beads dangling from every old oak tree, from lamp posts, street signs, everywhere you look are beads, people wearing beads and people throwing beads!
8. The food... I didn't have one bad meal and will regret it on Wednesday at ww meeting- but I had to try everything including crawfish, anything po-boy (bbq shrimp was my fav), alligator which taste like chicken, and I even tried a tiny, tiny piece of rabbit and will never try it again, but you only live once so live it up!!!
9. The people I traveld with were so much fun and all so easy going- you can;t have them, they are all mine but you can pick fun people to travel with if you decide to go:)
10. Posing for pics at Sandra Bullock's house eventhough she was in NY all week and seeing the house where Banjamin Button was filmed in the Garden District.
11. Riding the trolley that you call a street-car if you're local.

New Orleans balconies that I love with the horse and carriage rides!

Props go out to the Southwest pilot who flew my plane home. We flew into a tornado watch and landed after circling for a long time and bumping all over the place-super scary experience. Also props to the woman across the aisle who grabbed her barf bag in time to catch herself- thank you for your quick thinking and your welcome for the piece of gum I offered you after you proceeded to throw your guts up!

So happy to have both feet firmly on the ground and be back with my hubs!!!!!
