I had Royal Wedding fever and just for the record Kate was beautiful (loved the dress) and the wedding seemed almost too perfect. If I wasn't already married to my Prince Charming, I'd be going after Prince Harry- he is adorable and I love that he stole a look at Kate as she was coming down the aisle.

Freddy's "Good" Fab-U Earth Day Friday

It's Earth Day today... and its the 31st Earth Day Anniversary!
Before moving to Maryland I never did the whole re-cycle thing and now the hubs and I are making a big effort to recycle and reuse as much as possible. I feel pretty good about helping save the planet, but it makes the house pretty messy. In our kitchen we have the regular garbage can and the recycle box for paper. We are known to leave empty soda cans, beer bottles, etc. on the counter until there are enough to bag up and sometimes the mess makes me a little crazy. Anyone use any other methods of recycling that doesn't make your kitchen look like a tornado ripped through it???

 In other news, the Yankees come to Baltimore today thru Sunday and I'm hoping we can get our brooms out for the sweep! Go Yanks!!!! We were going to try and get to the game tonight but the weather might not be cooperating so we will probably try to hit the Sunday afternoon game (since I have to work all day Saturday).

Chubby Stick

What's in a name- ahhh such a great question????
So the story goes like this....
I have a good friend who wanted to show me her Chubby Stick!!! OMG what in the world is a chubby stick I ask her.....
Sounds dirty- I know....
I come to find out that a Chubby Stick is not at all what you might be thinking, so PLEASE get your mind out of the gutter!!!!!

The Big Easy

I just flew back from New Orleans and couldn't wait to post to you how much I LOOOOVED it!!!!
The city is amazing and all the people are sooo nice!
Top things I love about NOLA:
1.I love the weather we had, 80 degrees and sunny everyday!
2.The people were so nice and I think they just enjoy that they have visitors after Katrina
3.Jazz music and the random musicians on street corners that enjoy you taking pictures with them
4.Legal Drinking on the street-enough said! best law ever!
5.Hurricane's at Pat O'Briens and the Cats Meow (obvi a yummy drink at two very fun bars with great atmosphere's)
6. The buildings with double balconies-very southern
7. Beads!!!! Beads dangling from every old oak tree, from lamp posts, street signs, everywhere you look are beads, people wearing beads and people throwing beads!
8. The food... I didn't have one bad meal and will regret it on Wednesday at ww meeting- but I had to try everything including crawfish, anything po-boy (bbq shrimp was my fav), alligator which taste like chicken, and I even tried a tiny, tiny piece of rabbit and will never try it again, but you only live once so live it up!!!
9. The people I traveld with were so much fun and all so easy going- you can;t have them, they are all mine but you can pick fun people to travel with if you decide to go:)
10. Posing for pics at Sandra Bullock's house eventhough she was in NY all week and seeing the house where Banjamin Button was filmed in the Garden District.
11. Riding the trolley that you call a street-car if you're local.

New Orleans balconies that I love with the horse and carriage rides!

Props go out to the Southwest pilot who flew my plane home. We flew into a tornado watch and landed after circling for a long time and bumping all over the place-super scary experience. Also props to the woman across the aisle who grabbed her barf bag in time to catch herself- thank you for your quick thinking and your welcome for the piece of gum I offered you after you proceeded to throw your guts up!

So happy to have both feet firmly on the ground and be back with my hubs!!!!!

30 and Fabulous

30 is the new 20.......
I told you that there was nothing to worry about at all.
I ended up having a fabulous time on my birthday night.
It was a little touch and go last week when I came down with a fever and sinus infection (thank you seasonal allergies). But by Saturday afternoon, I started feeling a little bit better and I REALLY wanted to wear the heck outta THE dress......
So I womaned up, od'ed on cold meds and got all dolled up for the big day.
I decided to go with this dress- a strapless Black Bill Levkoff gown with a white band... and it was PERFECT!!!!!!

30 is the new 20

Now its off to New Orelans for the week. I'll be presenting on Friday at a conference and hopefully will have some fun exploring town.. if you've ever been and have recommendations for places I should hit up, def. let me know.

Dress Wars

So this is a pretty special weekend for me and the rest of my family... its a wedding/birthday extravaganza!
The big 3-0 is on Saturday and I'm excited but really not phased at all.
I've had many firends turn 30 and they consider it a huge point in there life and I really don't feel that way- maybe Saturday I'll feel differently?!
I was soooo lucky that I didn't have to make plans for my birthday because that is always so stressful- what to do, where to go, who to invite (think this weeks episode of Bethanny Ever After)?!?! I'm really not down with putting all that effort into my birthday.
When I got the invitation to my cousins wedding that also falls on Saturday- that made the planning SO much easier.
I know where I'm going, when I have to be there, and I don't need to invite anyone because my whole family will be there already!!!
So my big decision was WHAT TO WEAR?!
It came down to the battle of two dresses. They could not be more opposite of each other.
One is a short little blue number that says party city. Its fun, flirty, and reminds me of spring.
The other is a long black gown with a white band across the waist and it says classy, formal, and plain old princess.
I got opinions of some good friends and their opinions were split down the middle.
So I waited to purchase the dress and left it up to my hubby who called this morning telling me that he prefers one over the other. Enough said! I'm going with the hubbys pick.

Freddy Fools

April is my favorite month! I'm hoping this April proves to be a really, really good month for me! The big 3-0 is next weekend!!!!
The ww goal of losing 10lbs is getting closer. I'm down 5.2 pounds so far- hoping for a big number this week:)

April 1st always sneaks up on me and I'm a big fan of April Fools Day!
Today I decided it would be funny to congratulate a co-worker on getting engaged via facebook wall post. He is def. NOT engaged and was such a good sport about it. That was the extent of my April Fools jokes but I could use a good laugh so feel free to leave a comment on any April Fool's Day jokes you have ever been a part of!!!!
